Home and Happy!

Meeting Cousin Rya

Rya got to hold Jack and she absolutely loved it. She didn't want to give him up when it was time to. She was so sweet with him, petting him and giving him kisses. As many of you know Rya does signs and here she is telling us to be quiet. Last night she was holding him again and he must have farted on her because she gave us the sign for "stinky" and "poop"!!

He's Here!!

After about 16 hours of labor Jackson Patrick arrived at 12:28am Tuesday morning via C-section. He was 7lbs 5oz and 20 in. long. It was a long day, but I would do it all over again!

An End In Sight!!

We went to the doctor again today and after a few contractions the past couple days I was only about a 1/2cm more dilated. I also lost my mucus plug yesterday (sorry if that is TMI for anyone). If Jackson doesn't come this weekend, we will go in Sunday evening to start the induction process. They will use Cervadil Sunday night which will get things started and then they will start Pitocin Monday morning at 5:30am. Wish me luck and I will keep you all posted about Jack's arrival!!!

40 weeks and still pregnant:)

I just got home from the doctor. Jack is a stubborn boy. I am still only 1cm dilated and a little thinner. My blood pressure was fine, so that's good. They won't talk about inducing until next week. I go back Thursday for a check and until then I am waiting patiently:)

39 weeks....still

I went to the doctor yesterday. My blood pressure was about the same so I had to go get blood drawn to make sure it is not preeclampsia. The doctor checked my cervix and it is the same as Tuesday...50% effaced and 1cm. Not too much progression! My next doctor's appointment is Monday so we'll go from there:)

39 weeks

I went to the doctor today and I am now 1cm dilated. I'm moving slow here! He was not able to "strip my membrane" (move things along) because I am Group B Strep +. My official due date is Sunday, so now I am playing the ever so popular waiting game:) I also had high blood pressure so I have to go back to the doctor Friday. For those of you that don't know it is a sign of preeclampsia, but that is the only symptom I have so I am not really worried about it. I'll keep you posted.
